Concept

A Bitega du Pan is a historical bakery in Diano Marina, which has built its success on ingredients of the highest quality and an experimental approach that combines Ligurian recipes and traditional Italian cuisine. Ingredients and tradition, with a sprinkle of ingenuity, therefore had a major role in telling this story.

Development

The project revolved around the system created to depict ingredients – which are not represented directly, but through the process of making them. Thus, instead of flour or oil you see people, engaged in activities from the distant past, summing up the ideals of wholesomeness, great care and hard work that intertwine in the tradition of baking. The technique used to create the icons is in tune with these same values, as they were linocut using an ancient and physical printing process.
