Istituto Superiore di Osteopatia
The Higher Institute of Osteopathy (Istituto Superiore di Osteopatia, or ISO) and the structures connect to it needed a visual identity to convey prestige and increase their competitive edge on the market. The starting point was a core principle of osteopathy itself: connections. Connecting means creating bonds and relations between two or more things.
In the logo family created for the different structures, a precise number of points connect to each other – summing up the cardinal concepts in the osteopathy: the number of osteopathic principles, the number of osteopathic diagnosis methods, and the number of anatomical rules.
While the points remain in the same exact layout, the different connection patterns create the logos for ISO, CMO (Centro di Medicina Osteopatica) and AMF (Associazione Marina Fossati): three independent organizations, which however are deeply connected one to the other.
Finally, the three logos’ graphic motif was used in a variety of ways and amplified, turning into a distinctive element in the decor of the offices and across internal and external communication material.
