Concept
As part of the renovation of the former Farini Scalo industrial area, a historical Milanese railway hub, Edit repositions its brand by evolving from multifunctional space to Italian pub with craft brewery.

Development
The design approach, in addition to maintaining the original architectural character of the site, preserved the industrial legacy of the location with a careful selection of materials and finishes.
The beating heart of the venue, and central element in the project, is the concrete island counter with pewter top, which takes off from the one designed for the first EDIT in Turin, thus giving the interiors a coherent identity. Most of the client experience develops around this counter: one side is dedicated to beer tapping and serving, while the other functions as a coffee and cocktail bar. The milled Viroc paneling, which envelops the entire space and accompanies customers to the different areas in the venue, echoes the counter’s texture for material and visual continuity.
Lighting includes Splugen Brau lamps, designed in the 1960s for the Milanese brewery of the same name by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni: a choice that creates a connection and correspondence with the city’s cultural history.
