Japs! Moncalieri

Concept
Japs! is a growing food concept in constant transformation. Its dynamism is clearly conveyed by the new location, on Corso Moncalieri in Turin, which embodies the latest evolution of this interior design format. Grafting the Japs! identity onto the historical look of Macelleria Curletti has created an authentic relationship between the new restaurant and the previous context.
The marble of the old butcher’s shop, and the iconic counter in particular, tie in perfectly with the Japanese specialty offered by the new restaurant: Wagyu, one of the most exquisite beefs in the world.

Development
The typical materials used throughout the Japs! project, such as Viroc and black resin floors, blend with the original marble – so abundant it was re-distributed to balance the overall atmosphere.
Opening three portals makes flows between spaces clear and contributes to expanding their appearance. A long Viroc bench runs across the two dining areas, showcasing the rice grain pattern that has become the chain’s motif, milled in a different position to confirm this is a new evolution for Japs!
